Union Public Service Commission is a constitutional body which works as a central recruitment agency responsible for the appointments and examinations for All India services and group A & group B of Central services.
UPSC conducts civil services examination through which IAS, IPS, IRS, IFS, IRTS and several other posts are filled up. These services are considered as the most prestigious services in India.
AGE LIMIT & EXAM FEES
Minimum age age limit for all categories are 21 years.

for General – 32 years – Physically handicap 35 years / 100 Rs. Exam Fees
for OBC – 35 years – Physically handicap 38 years / 100 Rs. Exam Fees
for SC – 37 years – Physically handicap 40 years/ No. Exam Fees
for ST – 37 years – Physically handicap 40 years / No. Exam Fees
All female candidates are exempted from fees.

UPSC XAMINATIONS IS CONDUCTED IN THREE STAGES:
Stage I – CSAT / Preliminary Examination (Objective)
Stage II – Main Examination (Subjective)
Stage III – Interview
STAGE I – PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION
The CSAT or preliminary examination is consists of paper I and paper II. Both the papers are objective with negative marking for wrong answers. Paper II is qualifying which requires minimum 33% mark.

STAGE II – MAIN EXAMINATION
Main examination is subjective / descriptive consists of total nine papers in which two papers are of qualifying in nature. General Studies has four papers of 250 marks each. Optional Subject has two papers and each paper carrying 250 marks. The total required marks or cut-off ranges between 750 – 800 marks which qualifies candidate for the personality test. .

Personality Test carries 275 marks and no minimum qualifying required marks.
Exam Notification:
UPSC declares Civil Services Examination notification every year in the month January – February on the website https://upsc.gov.in and all national newspapers. Candidates are required to apply online by using the website https://upsconline.nic.in.
