Maharashtra Public Service Commission
Maharashtra Public Service Commission is a constitutional body established Under Article 315 of Constitution of India which works as a Maharashtra State recruitment agency responsible for the appointments and examinations to provide suitable candidates for various Government posts.
MPSC conducts state services examination through which Deputy Collector, Dy SP, STO, BDO and several other posts are filled up.
MPSC select candidates on the basis of marks obtained in mains & interview. MPSC recommends selected candidates for the recruitment to the services mentioned below.
AGE LIMIT & EXAM FEES
Minimum age age limit for all categories are 21 years.

for General – 37 years – Physically handicap 40 years / 1000 Rs. Exam Fees
for OBC – 40 years – Physically handicap 43 years / 900 Rs. Exam Fees
for SC – 42 years – Physically handicap 45 years/ 900 Rs. Exam Fees
for ST – 42 years – Physically handicap 45 years / 900Rs. Exam Fees
ATTEMPTS
Up to a maximum of five years for Civilian Central Government Servants & Ex-Servicemen.
Up to a maximum of five years if a candidate domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 1st January, 1980 to the 31st day of December, 1989.
MPSC XAMINATIONS IS CONDUCTED IN THREE STAGES:
Stage I – Preliminary Examination (Objective)
Stage II – Main Examination (Subjective)
Stage III – Interview
STAGE I – PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION
Preliminary examination is consists of paper I and paper II. Both the papers are objective with negative marking for wrong answers.

STAGE II – MAIN EXAMINATION
Main examination is also objective MCQs consists of total six papers in which two papers are partly objective and partly subjective. General Studies has four papers of 150 marks each.
